My Internet Resiliency Setup 🏔️
Living in the mountains, reliable internet and power can be a challenge. Since I work remotely, staying connected is essential. After some setbacks, I built a system that ensures I stay online, no matter what.
1. Satellite + Cable Internet 🛰️
I use both Starlink and cable internet. If one goes down, the other takes over, ensuring I always have a connection. This dual-internet approach covers all the bases.
2. Seamless Switching with Dual WAN 📡
To manage both connections, I use a Peplink Balance One dual WAN router. It automatically switches between Starlink and cable, maintaining a stable connection without any hassle.
3. Full Wi-Fi Coverage 📶
For consistent Wi-Fi everywhere, I rely on the TP-Link Deco AX3000 mesh system. It guarantees strong, reliable internet throughout every corner of my workspace.
4. Power Backup 🔋
Power outages are common, so I added an EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro portable power station. It keeps my router and internet running during outages, allowing me to work without interruptions.
With this setup, I stay connected and productive, no matter the circumstances.
